August 19-23, 11 am - 1 pm
Successfully completing and submitting college applications can be not only extremely time consuming, but also confusing. Once the workload of senior year sets in, even the most diligent of students can easily feel the stress of completing this process on top of all their schoolwork and activities. This class will provide students with the opportunity to make significant progress on their applications prior to the academic year. Working alongside an experienced tutor in a small group, students will have a dedicated workspace and one on one guidance on subjects ranging from the common application, essays, and scholarship opportunities.
By the end of the course, students will have learned the following:
How to navigate the common application
How to create a smart list of colleges
How to write a compelling essay
Stress and time management techniques
How to find and apply for scholarship opportunities
Having previously worked on the admissions team at Notre Dame, Olivia knows the application process well and understands what colleges look for in prospective students. She has degree in Philosophy and Literature from Notre Dame, and her tutoring experience covers nearly every academic subject. Before joining Hampton Tutors, she ran her own tutoring business, where she taught essay-writing, math, science and SAT/ACT Preparation.
