July Session: Dates TBD
August Session: Dates TBD
Studying for the SAT and ACT can be tough. Students can easily become overwhelmed by the wealth of information available. For students who struggle with focus, or who simply don't have the time to study all summer, this is the perfect class. The 10 hours will cover all of the content of the SAT and ACT, as well as show tricks and tips on time management, test-taking strategy, and general efficiency.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Understand how to answer all question types on the SAT and ACT (including ACT Science)
Speed up their test-taking and manage their time more efficiently
Use pre-taught strategies to answer questions in seconds, not minutes
Create a personal breakdown score (and tactics) to achieve their desired outcome
The SAT and ACT are designed to be hard, but also accessible for every student. The content itself is something that Juniors and Seniors should be familiar with. And, let's not forget, the answers are written on the page (they're just camouflaged with other, incorrect possibilities). The difference between an average score and a good one, or a good score and a great one, is therefore strategies, and utilizing information effectively. Each section of the SAT and the ACT has distinct tactics to speed up test taking, and to ensure that students don't waste time on questions. Using 'hacks', patterns, and general logic, students will soon be able to approach questions in new ways. After all, standardized tests have standardized answers!
